I originally learned Mainstream and some Plus square dancing with the Swinging Squares (Fort Meade, MD) in the late 1980s, then did more classes with the Villagers (Columbia, MD): Mainstream angel, Plus student. I lost track of square dancing when I moved to New Jersey in 1990. About 20 years went by. I saw a flyer at work announcing classes with Rainbow Squares (Milmay, NJ). My wife, daughter and I graduated Mainstream and Plus in January, 2011 after classes with Glen Matthew.

Graduation Dance at Rainbow Squares on Tuesday, 2018-08-28 (7pm)

Our students have completed the first part of their square dance journey: lessons. The journey began on February 06, 2018, with a free introductory class. Now it's time to celebrate their progress with a graduation dance.

Join us Tuesday, 2018-08-28 for the festivities. Help us usher the graduates into the next phase of the journey: attending dances.

Ralph Trout will be calling the squares.

Mystery caller + Lou Torti at Rainbow Squares on Saturday, 2018-08-18

Hello, friends!

The schedule says Evan Pauley should be the caller at Rainbow Squares, but we received word that he may not be able to call for us. Our second Vice President has been hard at work lining up a substitute just in case.

Unfortunately, I am not Regis Philbin and don't have a final answer yet. (People of a certain generation remember when he was the host of "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?", pressing the contestants with "Is that your final answer?")

Ralph Trout and Lou Torti at Rainbow Squares on Saturday, 2018-07-21

Hello, friends!

Rainbow Squares has some chilling news: the air conditioning is back at full strength!

At the previous two Saturday dances (June 30, July 7), the cooling was at half strength with one compressor working and the other one kaput. As we fanned ourselves in the sultry air, it felt like the part delivery was proceeding at a glacial pace. No more! The repairs are complete.

Escape the heat with us this Saturday. Our hall can once again handle the sizzling performances of caller Ralph Trout and cuer Lou Torti.
